I should do better with posting.
Listening to one of my faves, Kenny Lattimore has inspired me to blog about some of the musical artists I love. I grew up listening to songs my parents listened to, like ABBA, Lionel Ritchie and some others. I also grew up listening to gospel jams and some good old Nigerian artistes, thanks to TV (NTA, for example) and radio.
Funny, I've always had an "old" taste in music. I was never the cool kid that knew all the latest songs in their teens (90s- early 00s). I'm more in touch with some of the latest "cool" jams these days, thanks to my car radio *laughs*.
Anyway, I'm currently loving:
KEM
Kenny Lattimore
Anthony Hamilton
Tamar Braxton
And of course, some gospel jams from Naija and abroad.
Looking forward to discovering new music!
Till next time. xx

Happy New Year!
I know this is super late but better late than never! ;) I hope the year started well for everyone. I have high hopes for this year and I hope you do too.
Hmm...this post seems filled with the word "hope". Coincidence or nay?
Cheers to a new year!! *raises glass*

Lesson Learned
Recently, I had a huge craving for some serious ofada rice and ayamase stew. I decided to go to this fancy restaurant somewhere in Lagos to get it. I no know who send me message oo, I should've just found a nice 'mama put' or buka to go satisfy my cravings but no, impatience got the best of me. I happily bought the food (let's ignore the rude boy that attended to me), even paid for the take-away pack (that was a first for me!) and took it home. I hurriedly warmed the food, heaped some of the food on my fork and shoved in into my mouth...*pause*...what?! It tasted like I was eating rice and palm-oil. I was sooo disappointed! So, after wasting fuel/time/anticipation/energy to go and buy this thing, this was all I got?! Lesson learned: Next time you're craving some "local" fare, go to the pros, not them fancy schmancy places. A word is enough for the wise.
